Welcome to the home of ESSTP |
What is it?
ESSTP (Eclipse SourceSafe Team Provider) is an open source plugin that provides
Microsoft SourceSafe functionality to users of the Eclipse
tool platform.
What do I need?
ESSTP requires Eclipse 2.0 or greater, Sun JRE 1.3.1 or greater, and Visual
SourceSafe 6.0 or greater.
How does it work?
ESSTP controls SourceSafe via COM automation components. Even though ESSTP is
a java program this is possible because of the delightfully easy to use and
open source, JCom.
What SourceSafe functionality does ESSTP support?
ESSTP currently supports the following SourceSafe commands: Get Latest Version,
Check In, Check Out, Undo Check Out, Add Files, History, and Difference. Of
course, there are more in the works!

How do I get it?
ESSTP is installed through Eclipse's update mechanism. The ESSTP installation
site URL for the Eclipse installer is http://esstp.sourceforge.net/bin. See
the Eclipse help for information on installing feature plugins.
