ESSTP Installation

ESSTP is installed/updated from the Eclipse Install/Update Manger. You can install from files over the Internet or from files unzipped to your local hard drive.

Installing/Updating over the Internet

1. Display the Update Manger perspective by selecting Software Updates/Update Manager from the Eclipse Help menu.
2. Right click In the Feature Updates view and select New/Site Bookmark... from the popup menu.
3. In the New Site Bookmark dialog type in ESSTP in the Name prompt and http://esstp.sourceforge.net/bin in the URL prompt. Ensure that the Eclipse Update Site radio button is selected and click the Ok button.
4. In the Feature Updates view expand the newly created ESSTP node and select the version that you want to install.
5. In the Preview view click on the Install/Update button to initiate the install/update.

Installing/Updating from your local hard drive

1. Download the ESSTP installation package from the ESSTP download site and decompress the package to a temporary folder on your hard drive.
2. Display the Update Manger perspective by selecting Software Updates/Update Manager from the Eclipse Help menu.
3. Navigate to the temporary package folder using the My Computer node in the Feature Updates view
4. In the Feature Updates view expand the ESSTP node and select the version that you want to install.
5. In the Preview view click on the Install/Update button to initiate the install/update.
